Exfoliate first. Use a gentle body scrub 12–24 hours before application. Focus on elbows, knees, and ankles.
Apply to dry skin. Massage in circular motions, working upward from feet. Use a tanning mitt for streak-free results.
Wait 60 seconds. Allow to dry fully before dressing. Wear loose, dark clothing for the first few hours.
Build your colour. Apply every 24 hours for up to three applications. Colour develops fully within 6–8 hours.
Maintain with moisture. Daily moisturising extends your colour by up to 5 days.
Avoid prolonged water exposure for the first 8 hours. Wash hands immediately after application.

Undertone Matching
Most self-tanners are calibrated for medium or olive skin as their baseline — which is why they oxidise orange on fair skin. Golden Hour uses a cool-neutral DHA ratio tuned specifically to Fitzpatrick types I and II. The result reads as golden, not burnt.

DHA 6%
Dihydroxyacetone — derived from plant-based sugar — is the gold standard of self-tanning. At 6%, it develops a warm, believable colour over 6–8 hours without the orange oxidation that affects fair skin at the wrong concentration.
What it does: Reacts with amino acids in the outermost skin layer to create a temporary brown-gold pigmentation — no UV damage required.
Why 6% matters: Too high and fair skin over-oxidises. Too low and the result is invisible. 6% is the clinically established sweet spot for Fitzpatrick types I–II.
Source: Derived from glycerin via fermentation. Biodegradable, vegan, not tested on animals.
Duration: Colour lasts 5–7 days with proper skin preparation and daily moisturisation.
Erythrulose 2%
Naturally derived from raspberries, Erythrulose is the ingredient most tanners skip — which is exactly why most tanners fade unevenly. It binds slower than DHA, filling in where DHA fades first and extending colour by up to three extra days.
What it does: Forms a Maillard-type reaction with skin proteins — slower than DHA, giving a more graduated, natural-looking colour development.
Why it matters: When DHA fades, it often fades unevenly, creating patches. Erythrulose's slower binding fills in and extends the uniform result.

Aloe Vera 10%
Dry skin is a pale skin problem — and dry skin is the enemy of an even tan. Aloe Vera Leaf Juice at 10% concentration hydrates and soothes the skin before DHA reacts, creating an even canvas that turns an okay tan into a great one.
What it does: Provides immediate lightweight hydration and reduces minor skin irritation. Supports an even, receptive surface for uniform DHA uptake.
Why 10% matters: Clinical studies show meaningful hydration benefit at 10%+. Lower concentrations are largely cosmetic on the label.
The hyaluronic acid partnership: Aloe works on the surface. The 3-weight hyaluronic acid complex works deeper — together they hydrate every layer for a lasting, plumped glow.
